A Brow Lift tightens the soft tissues of the forehead to revive the youthful contour to the forehead, upper eyelids and eyebrows
Before and After Gallery
Length of Procedure:
As we age the soft tissue in the brow tends to deflate causing a descent and laxity of the brow. The characteristic appearance of a forehead that is too low will include extra, saggy flesh of the upper lids and loss of a youthful brow arch. There are many social and professional benefits to Brow Lift with having youthful, attractive, fresh, alive looking and well positioned brow.
In your pre-consultation, the plastic surgeon will discuss the Brow Lift procedure and detail exactly what the surgery entails. You may be suggested alternative procedures that can accomplish the goals you are looking for. The surgeon will evaluate you to determine if you are an appropriate candidate. Be prepared to answer questions regarding your medical and drug history, family health problems and medications taken in the past year.
Prior to the Brow Lift, you will be advised to avoid certain drugs and medications while following a diet regimen to best prepare you for your successful surgical journey.
The procedure is done on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Several short incisions are placed in the hairline. The operation can be done using an endoscope (a narrow, hollow instrument with a fiber optic light source and camera, through which the procedure is done with small special instruments). The forehead skin is lifted and repositioned. The muscles that cause frown lines are weakened.
The three types of Brow Lift incisions for the procedure as followed:
Open Brow Lift: The surgeon will make an incision across the forehead on either the hairline or creases. The muscles will be softened and excess fat will be removed. The remaining skin will be pulled down, and the brow will be stitched to its new position.
Endoscopic Brow Lift: The surgeon will make tiny incisions on the forehead and apply an endoscope (a small tiny camera) to view the internal structure of the forehead.
Limited Incision: This is a hybrid of Open Brow Lift and Endoscopic Brow Lift; it is a non-endoscopic technique with limited incisions. The scars are well hidden on the temporal hairline. This incision type will reduce the wrinkles on the forehead.
For the best complete result, it is best to go forward with the Open Brow Lift. Your surgeon and you will discuss to determine the best Brow Lift procedure suitable towards your goal.
The benefit of the Brow Lift is having the youthful contour you dream of with reduced wrinkles and well positioned brows over the upper eyelid.
Additional procedures that may enhance the results are: Lower and/or Upper Eyelid Lift, Face Lift or other facial procedures or implants. For best results, you may also need a Blepharoplasty (Upper Eyelid Surgery).

After Care Instructions and Expectations
Initial discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication. The sutures and staples are removed within 10 days. Most of the swelling and bruising is gone in 7 to 10 days.
The final result of the surgery should be expected after six months following the surgery. This is usually sufficient time for scar healing and swelling to be completely down.
A healthy lifestyle and proper skin care regimen will benefit the Brow Lift for proper maintenance and longer results. Due to natural aging, wrinkles may appear years down the line.
